The Story

Initially, our client was focused on finding a ground-floor garden flat somewhere in South London. Over the course of six property tours, we introduced him to a range of property styles – mostly flats but also introducing the possibility of houses – across many areas. Having previously thought he couldn’t afford a house in an area he liked, he fell in love with Crofton Park. Here we found him a beautiful three-bedroom Victorian terraced house, which met every part of his brief. Initially, he lost out to a buyer in ‘sealed bids’ and our search continued. However, after the sale fell through during lockdown, we heard about the opportunity before the house went back on the market. We negotiated a discounted purchase price of £705,000, which was £40,000 below the previously accepted offer. Shortly after our offer was accepted, similar properties starting to sell for higher prices – but we were able to make sure the deal went through without any issues.
