We negotiated a price of £3,950,000 (£2,377 per square foot) – £400,000 less than the asking price. The sellers had rejected an offer of £4,000,000 – £50,000 higher than ours – only a month before accepting our offer. The exact same flat on the floor below sold for £4,250,000 only two months’ prior.
