The Story

Our client was an artist with unusual requirements that seemed initially to be pulling in different directions. However, in our first property tour we showed an array of properties in a variety of areas, each with its own charm and personality, and one stood out as perfect – ticking every box required. We managed to secure a discount of over 10% from the asking price, bringing the price down to less than £700 per square foot.

The most notable success, though, was in making sure we got from acceptance of the offer through to completion. We came up against a number of obstacles, none more serious than an error at the land registry which meant that some of the building wasn’t the seller’s to sell. We coordinated the whole process of correcting the problem, making sure everyone knew what was required of them, and managing each of them through those roles. Eventually, 15 months after our first viewing, we got over the line.
